Hi I'm Haim.

I listen to audio books when I commute to work on my bike. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a National Board Certified special education teacher in Southern California. During the school year I teach and during the holidays I travel across the globe to visit my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. I grew up in California, then moved to Hawaii for college, then Utah for graduate school, then California to start teaching, then Philadelphia to work on teacher credentialing, then back to California to find my passion in the classroom.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised 6 children and 57 foster children in our house in my rural California town. In a home with constant change I found stability in my own devotion to Christ and my parent's testimonies of the restored gospel brought back to earth by Joseph Smith. From them I learned to love the teachings of Jesus Christ while quietly offering service to others and have remained a true Mormon throughout.

How I live my faith

For three years I have been the organizer for the partnering of women to go into the homes of other women once per month to share time, testimony and gospel teaching. We call this program "visiting teaching". I have increased my own testimony of sharing my feelings and trusting others as I participate in visiting teaching. Because I have moved a lot in my adult life I thought I had mastered the art of being alone and starting over with new friends. Now I know that the Lord does not want us to be alone during our journey on earth. Since he has set up systems of caring through an organization that is always focused on the greatest commandment, Love One Another even as I have Loved You I know that I am always Loved no matter where I am. My Faith is centered on Love.
