Hi I'm Andy

I am bagpiper, a farmer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a lover of the outdoors hunting, fishing, white water rafting, running, hiking, and horse back riding. I am from a family of six boys and a son of two wonderful parents and I have lost a sister at three months old but I know I will see her again after this life. I am University student studying Agriculture, and on the side lines I love to play the bagpipes, and the alto saxophone even though I am not great at playing but I still love to play those instruments. I love serving people and see them smile.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints has been the greatest blessing in my life. I have grown up in the church all my life, that does not mean my life has been perfect. Being a member of the church has brought me hope and closer to my Savior Jesus Christ more then anything. I have struggled through out my life especially in School academics and testing but more in my personal life. I have always been courious about life and how the body works and I found that what the world offers is only temporay and does not bring true happiness. I have pondered and questioned my faith such as" Is god really there?" some extreme as " Where did god come from?" I had a lot of questions and I felt I really needed find out for myself if the things I had been taught were really true. I prayed, fasted and read the Book Of Mormon and I felt I had not received an answer. I was so fraustrated and I thought how long must I wait, and there was one night when things were not going well and I felt close to giving up, and I felt I needed to pray again and ask, tears filled my eyes I said " Heavenly Father are these things really true?, Is Joseph Smith a prophet? Is the Book Of Mormon true?, Do you really care about me." At that moment after I had asked that last question I felt inside a peace in my whole body, I felt calm and a warmeth as if someone was holding me. I will never forget that night. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God by the power of the Holy Ghost and that Joseph Smith did translate the Book of Mormon by the power of god, I have read and studied the pages, and I stand as a witness of the book. I know that this is Jesus Christ's church, how, because I have prayed, and read and live the teachings of it. I love the church, the gospel. Theses things has given me the clearest path I need to return back to god and to be able to endure life and all the pains and trials it brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in my church callings I reach out to those who are less active in our church, and invite others to learn about our faith. I visit members of the ward and go over to see how they are doing, and what needs they need, and share a spiritual message and let them know how much we care for them. I try to be the best example as I can, I try to reach out to those in need and to be a friend to those I meet and serve them if I can.
