Hi I'm Riley

I'm a Mormon.....and much, much more... an athlete, a pianist, a brother, a son.

About Me

I'm a college student and play football at the university I attend. Besides football I love baseball, basketball, ping pong, skiing (snow and water), wakeboarding, wakesurfing, lifting weights, and basically being very active. I also took piano for 8 years when I was little and am trying to keep those 8 years from going to waste, so I play the piano pretty often. I love spending time with my family. I have a very close extended family and love spending time with my cousins aunts and uncles and grandparents on top of hangin' with my brothers and sister. I have a bullmastiff puppy who is one of the most loyal friends I have and he's pretty fun to hang around. I spent two years in Spain on my mission and so I love everything that has to do with the spanish language and culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but that has no hold on why I continue to be. I am a Mormon because I know that the only way to return to Heavenly Father's presence is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that I am happier when I live the gospel and am obedient to the commandments. That has been proven time and time again in my life. I rely on the Holy Ghost to help me decipher right from wrong. I am faced with choices between good and evil everyday and I love knowing that if I am living my life in accordance with Heavenly Father's commandments I can have that help from the Holy Ghost. I love learning about the prophet Joseph Smith and all modern day prophets, and know them to be true men of god.

How I live my faith

I love service! I have a lot of opportunities to serve in the community, being a collegiate athlete. Not only that, I have responsibilities in my ward that allow me to help tutor young kids and reach out to the community in other ways. I love service because I have found it impossible to feel down or think about my problems when I look to help other people. You feel better 100% of the time you serve others! It's also a great way to stay active and you always end up having fun and meeting new people and forming new friendships.
