Hi I'm Jessica Larsen

I am a student, I love to travel, I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time student studying Elementary Education. I served a year and a half mission in Chile and I absolutely loved it! I love to travel, cook, dance and just have a good time. In my free time I like to spend time with my family, do fun things with my friends and pretty much anything outdoors! I am a Mormon and I live it and love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and so I was raised Mormon all my life. I had a hard time in high school, but the true test came when I moved out to live on my own. I had a friend who helped me feel so welcome when I first moved in and it meant so much to me. I came to grow so much in this wonderful gospel. I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that this is the true church. I have studied the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and I know with every fiber of my being that it is true. I am so thankful for the happiness that being a Mormon brings. This gospel has helped me get through hard times and it has enriched my life in more ways that I could have ever imagined. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel to the Earth and I know that we have a living prophet today and I am so thankful for this and for the guidance that it brings to my life. I know that through all I do in my life, I have this gospel to help me in each and every way. That is why I am a Mormon. :)

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways but it is the small and simple things I do that always keep me on track. These simple things that I do each and every day include personal prayer, daily scripture study, and serving others in every way that I can. I also am blessed to be able to attend Institute classes which are classes that teach more about the Book of Mormon and just more about the church in general. I also go to as many church activities that I can. Every Monday night, my ward has Family Home Evening together, which is when we all get together and share a spiritual message. I try to do all that I can each and every day to better myself and live my faith.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Jessica Larsen
We need a Savior because we are not perfect. None of us are perfect and we can't be no matter how hard we try. We were sent to this earth to gain a body and to have agency, which is the ability to make choices. Because of this agency that we have we are able to make choices of all kinds, both good and bad. We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior because he came to this earth to die for us so that we could return to live with our Heavenly Father. We need a Savior because it is through Him that our sins washed away. Show more Show less
