Hi I'm Jessica F.

Wife. Friend. Daughter. Sister. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm married and have been for 3 wonderful years now. I'm a military housewife and get to enjoy every minute of making every day as wonderful as I can for my Husband and Myself. I have only 1 sibling and come from a single parent home. I have 2 cats and 1 dog whom I love dearly and spend every moment I can with them. I like to cook but I love to bake. I'm always up for trying new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because I choose to be. This is one decision that I made solely for myself. I was not convinced by anyone else or pressured into believing what my family believes. Based on my own personal study of the Book of Mormon and my personal prayers I received the answer I was looking for just as the Book of Mormon promised me. I did not have to read all the way through it to get my answer but I read and prayed about it. When my prayers became more sincere to know if this church was true I got the answer I was looking for but only then.My baptism was purely my decision and with the support of my family both Members (on my husband's side) and non-members I was able to take that leap of faith and be baptized and confirmed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I talk about the Gospel every chance that I can. I live it by keeping my home Temple Worthy and by keeping the covenants that I made to my Heavenly Father and helping those in need. I strive to read my scriptures daily and pray as often as I need to. The biggest way I live my faith is to be as close to Christ like as I can be. No one is perfect and I often repent but that is part of living my faith diligently.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Jessica F.
No. Not all Mormons are required to serve a mission but it is something that is encouraged by the Church and most often the families as well. Our young Brothers and Sisters as well as our Adult Missionaries understand the importance of serving a mission and more often than not they do. The Book of Mormon is the most correct book on this Earth and the messages that it contains are so important not just to individuals but to families as well that our Missionaries save money to go on a 2 year mission. If you KNOW that something is TRUE and you were told to share it with all Nations, Kindred's and Tongues wouldn't you want to opportunity to tell Heavenly Father that you did your best to help those that had not received the message of the Restored Gospel?
