Hi I'm Russell

I grew up in North Carolina and used to breed exotic lizards. I am an Insurance adjuster . I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three wonderful children. My son is serving a mission for the Church in the Arizona Mesa Mission. My interests are Saltwater fishing on the coast of North Carolina, Saltwater aquariums, spending time with family and automatic watches.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. I have studied the gospel and logically it all makes sense. I came to know that the Church is true when I was about 12 years old. I would come home from school and read The Book of Mormon. I remember distinctly receiving a witness even at that early age that the Church is true. This testimony has sustained me through life's challenges and whenever any doubt has entered my mind. I was called to serve a mission in the northern most island of Japan , Hokkaido. My mission is an experience that I reflect on daily. My service in Japan defines me and much of my life. I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I love my savior Jesus Christ and his willingness to take upon him my sins. I am a better man each day because of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day by following the council of the Prophet and other church leaders. I currently am a member of the Stake High Council and enjoy serving the members of the church in my area. I enjoy reading the scriptures. I am currently in my 30th time reading The Book of Mormon. I strongly feel that The Book of Mormon is a gift from God to the world in the Latter-days. By reading from it's pages one is awakened spiritually and comes to a sure knowledge of Jesus Christ as our Redeemer.
