Hi I'm Victor

I work in a public education system. I began as an art teacher and coach; now I am a school principal, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father. My career in education began as an art teacher and coach. I have always enjoyed sports and art. After a few years events occurred in my life that guided me towards school administration. I still dabble in art, mostly by doing portrait drawings.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents became Mormon before I was born, so I was raised in the church. I was taught about having faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. These fundamental principles and ordinances were taught by prophets of old, as well as prophets of today. I was taught from the Bible and The Book of Mormon and I believed what I heard I knew the teachings were true and line upon line my testimony grew. But there was a time when I came to know it was real I remember that day as if it was yesterday. I knelt down and prayed to ask God if The Book of Mormon was true. Words cannot describe how my prayer was answered, but the Holy Ghost touched my heart in a way that I cannot deny. Since that day I have had many moments where my testimony has been reaffirmed as I try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. More than anything, the truth has come to me a little at a time as I have put the teachings of the Savior to the test.

How I live my faith

The last few years I have been involved in the community as the president of the little league baseball and softball organization. Our local congregation has also teamed up with a community organization that assists lower income families with needed home repairs. I enjoy using my years of handyman experience to assist in these endeavors. Within the church I help oversee the children's organization, the boy's program ages 12-18, scouting programs, and a few other auxiliary organizations. Because of the distance we live from the church building, my wife and I also team-teach seminary to our two high school age children in our home. The church's seminary program consists of a scripture study class every school day. This class begins at 530 AM.
