Hi I'm Sean

I'm a Techno Junkie, a Geek and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary in the Texas Houston Mission. I want to be a DJ someday. I love listening to all types of music especially Techno. I believe that good music comes in all forms so you have to listen to it all. I love video games. I enjoy learning a little about everything so I have something to contribute to a every conversation I encounter. I am interested in going to school and learning all I can about Music and Technology. When I was a kid I moved around a lot. Sometimes I wish I didn't move so much but I am very glad I did because moving around made me who I am. It put me out of my comfort zone so I am able to talk to everyone. I am social, I love going to the club... all the lights and music blaring its the best!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know its true. My parents were a big influence on me when I was younger. When I was 11 my family decided to start going back to church and the missionaries started visiting me. I prayed about the Book of Mormon and felt like it was the right thing to do. I remember being so young and loving the missionaries cause they taught to my needs. My baptism was something extraordinary. The result of my baptism was even greater, my family started coming to church more and more. From 11 to 15 I was sure that the church was true, at 15 I wasn't so into the church gig so I tried to get out of it every chance I could. My Senior year of High School I started talking and hanging out with people from church and seriously started thinking about a mission. I decided after allowing the spirit to influence to serve a mission. On my mission is when I gained my true testimony of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that he lives and that his true church has been restored to the earth in these times because it just makes sense. I Know that we can all return back to our Heavenly Father through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now I am currently serving a mission in Texas to help others find Jesus Christ. I read the scriptures everyday and pray all the time hoping to find those that are lost. I am trying to be an example to my family and friends. I try to show everyone around me that you can be Mormon and have fun at the same time.

We believe that we are saved by grace but we have to have works to qualify for the Grace.  Show more Show less

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Sean
Well if we stopped allowing our families to view pornography we would then cut it out of a generation or 2. We can start raising our families with correct standards and morals. Help our families reject such things and make use of wholesome recreational activities. Show more Show less

Sean
Joseph Smith founded the Church, but really it is Christ's original church restored to the earth in this day and time. Therefore it is Jesus Christ's church. Joseph Smith was the prophet of God called in 1820 to restore the true church of Jesus Christ to the earth. That is how it came about. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Sean
We perform baptisms for the dead because every single one of God's children deserve an opportunity to accept his Gospel. Baptism is an ordinance that must be performed on this earth, without it no one can enter into God's presence. Now if that is the case then someone who has never been baptized would of been damned for all eternity... That doesn't seem very fair of God, so God created a way for those that have not yet received the ordinance of baptism to be able to receive it. They still have there agency and can choose to accept the baptism or not. Therefore God is a just God and he allows a way for all of his children to return to him. Show more Show less

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Sean
We believe in Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. We believe that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God who was called by Jesus Christ to restore the true Church of Jesus Christ back to the earth in our day and time. Our message is bold and true. You can know it by reading in the Book of Mormon and praying to Heavenly Father asking to know if what we teach is true. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Sean
Well... Only some Mormon's are allowed going into temples because they are the ones worthy to go into the House of the Lord. We make sacred covenants with our Heavenly Father, nothing goes on in secret it is just sacred so we do not talk about it outside the temple. Everyone can go into the temple they just must be willing to keep the commandments and follow Jesus Christ in order to qualify to go inside. The Holy Ghost is in the Temple and we must be worthy to go there so that we do not interrupt his presence by our unworthiness. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Sean
It is important to take care of our bodies because we were given it. With the gift of having a body comes a lot of responsibility, we can be tempted, we have to nurture it, we have to take care of the problems we encounter. Our bodies are called temples in the bible because in a sense our bodies should look like a temple and act like a temple. When we realize that our body is a temple we want to make sure that we keep everything in order, so that the Holy Ghost can enter into our lives and help us. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Sean
The church released this, "The Church opposes abortion and counsels its members not to submit to or perform an abortion except in the rare cases where, in the opinion of competent medical counsel, the life or good health of the mother is seriously endangered or where the pregnancy was caused by rape and produces serious emotional trauma in the mother. Even then it should be done only after counseling with the local presiding priesthood authority and after receiving divine confirmation through prayer." That pretty much says it all.
