Hi I'm Parker

I like turtles, I love cereal, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Idaho. I love to play sports but I will admit that I am not amazing at them. I am going to school to become a Meteorologist (aka weather man). I love to learn new things and to have adventures. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I love it. I served a mission in Phoenix, AZ and I loved it! Being able to spread what I believe in for a whole 2 years was an amazing adventure and I miss it everyday. Being here in school is great experience as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a mormon? My testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is not based upon one event that has changed my life but upon thousands of growing experiences that have helped me to learn about God and to know my Savior. I am serving as a missionary in the Arizona Phoenix Mission and this step in trying to create a better relationship with Jesus Christ has been the best so far. This gospel has blessed me in ways that I dont even know but I do know that on the basis of obedience, Heavenly Father blesses his children and knows each and every one of them!

How I live my faith

Living a faith is harder done than said. I am serving a mission and striving to helping the children of God, my brothers and sisters, know of His true gospel. In my life Ive seen that being an example to others is the best way to show and live my faith. Being kind, trustworthy, and loyal are some things Ive stived for in my life. Of course Im not perfect and that's what the gospel is here for so that we can become more like our Savior. I believe that the Lord wants me to just be me and that is how he works through us and us just doing what we do.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are essential to God's plan for us. We learn so much from them because that is truly our roots. Our Father in Heaven wants us to learn about Him and His Son at an early age so that we can be strong in what he needs us to do. Our families can be together forever and that realization makes us want to help establish our family relationships. I am grateful for my family and for the wonderful principles that they have taught me, from my experienced parents to my dedicated brothers its knowledge that can only be had being in a family.
