Hi I'm Sarah

I was born in Illinois and grew up in Utah. I'm in College studying International Relations. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 22 years old. I'm studying in college. I love to snowboard, wakeboard, hike, ballroom dance, and read. I've spent most of my life trying to be well rounded and enjoy doing pretty much anything. I love to be with people and to be surrounded by those I love. I'm happy and feel my life is full and getting better daily.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Lord has shown me that it is His way. I have had too many experiences and answers to my prayers to ever question whether this is the truth. I have an indescribable amount of JOY, which I feel is mans quest in life. That joy comes from living the principles of Christ’s gospel, and trusting in God. The restored Gospel of Jesus Christ has never left me without answer, without help, or without comfort. I know who I am, a child of God, and because I know who I am I can face the future with optimism and confidence.

How I live my faith

I left when I turned 21 on a Mission (to go tell others about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) and came home in November. Right now I’m serving is my local church as a teacher to girls my similar age. I teach about the words of the living Prophets and Apostles. I also try to stay involved in my community by doing service projects with my friends. Most of all, in my everyday life, I try to do uplifting and good things every day, and try to do the little things that make a big difference in the long run.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We need a Savior for two main reasons. The first is we needed somone who was perfect to overcome death. If Christ did not overcome death we would never have the chance to live again or embrace those we love again. Jesus Chirst made it so that all would rise from the dead and be made whole. The second main reason is that we are all not perfect. We needed someone who could pay the price for our sins so we could return to God. We are the ones who choose whether or not Christ will take these stains and burdens away from us. He has already opened the door we have to walk through. It is only through faith in him, and doing what he asks in return that we gain a full cleansing that gives us the ability to live in Heavenly Fathers presence. Why do we need a Savior? We need someone who loves us enough and is perfect enough to allow us to rise higher than we could do on our own. I am so thankful that there is such a Savior. Show more Show less
