Hi I'm Becky
I'm an Idaho girl. I speak Modern Hebrew. I'm a Mormon.
About Me
I have a son and daughter that I adore. I love languages and cultures and travel--particularly anything Asian or Middle Eastern. I'm an avid reader, cook only when necessary, and relish the sweet exhaustion that comes after a day of yard work.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a feeler. I like to think I have a cool, reasonable head as well, but most of my decisions are made with my heart. I grew up in the Mormon Church, received the gift of the Holy Ghost when I was eight, and have felt the Spirit as a warm, swelling power in my heart many times. I have relied on this feeling to make the big decisions like who to marry, and the little daily ones. I have seen enough miracles and blessings through this power to be able to discern where truth is--whether in the words of a speaker or the pages of a book. The truth of the Mormon Church is undeniable to me. I have witnessed religious devotion the world over, and have found nothing to compare to the sweet power that I feel in an a Mormon chapel. I know that I have a Heavenly Father and family. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died that I might live. I have faith in the words of the prophets, both ancient and modern. I am thrilled to live in this time and this place, with such opportunities to share truth.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by teaching and caring for my two sweet children. I try to make my home a place where they can learn to make good choices so they can be happy. I also serve in my Church as a leader to 8 and 9-year-old girls. There are about thirteen of them in my group and we get together twice a month to learn and share with each other. My favorite activity that we have had has been a modesy fashion show.
