Hi I'm Amie

I am a wife, mother of one, lover of all things cooking, baking and creative. I am a mormon.

About Me

Born in Texas, grew up in Missouri and now back in Texas! My husband and I have been married for 5 years. We have an 18month old son and a 4 year old Silky Terrier. I love cooking, baking, thrifting, and all things crafty. I love spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a convert to the church at age 19. I attended the Baptist church earlier in my life and attended the Episcopal church towards the latter part of my teen years. I am a Mormon because I have come to know my Savior more now than I ever have before. Having the knowledge of the gospel brings the sweetest peace to my life... a peace that I haven't found anywhere else. I love this Church and I love the people who I am able to surround myself with. I know that Heavenly Father is aware of me and of the desires of my heart. As a daughter of God, I know that I have divine potential and I know that He wants to bless me as I strive to do my best every day. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I am grateful that he loved me (and you) enough to suffer and die so that we can live with our Heavenly Father again as we repent and receive forgiveness of our sins. I am grateful for the power that the Atonement has had in my life. I know that we are meant to be here on this earth to live our specific lives and learn and grow through our trials. I love having the inspiration and guidance of living prophets. I know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. I know that Jesus Christ lives and I know that this is His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be a good example for those around me. I may not be perfect but I know that by small and simple things, I can have an influence in the world for good. I strive to stand up for the family and show love towards those I come in contact with. I live my faith by willingly serving where ever I am needed. I currently serve on a activity committee for Relief Society which an organization for the women of the church. We plan and organize fun, uplifting activities for the women in our ward in order to inspire, teach and fellowship with each other. I love to live my faith by attending the Temple with my husband as often as our schedules permit. The Temple is a place of beauty and absolute peace. It is a house of learning and truly the house of God.
