Hi I'm David

I manage computer systems. I play video games with my kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work for a Non-profit as the IT Director. I love working with computers and helping others succeed. I am the father of five, married to their beautiful mother. I enjoy sports and the outdoors. I have been able to work with scouting for many years and really enjoy the interactions with kids and youth. I enjoy playing video games with my kids and their friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. As promised in the book (see Moroni 10:3-5), I asked God if it was true and I felt the assurance of the Holy Ghost. As I have lived His teachings, I have felt the joy and peace in my life. I have faced struggles, and I still work to improve my life; but I feel His love each day. As I live the teachings of the Savior, I grow closer to Him. I am able to better deal with my challenges. I find comfort in reading the Word of God. It helps me be a better father, husband, friend and employee. I still make mistakes, but I know I can be forgiven and still work to be like Him. As Jesus taught, "Be ye perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect." (see Matthew 5:48) Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all men can be forgiven. We can all repent, come unto Christ and return to live with Christ and our Father again.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed many years of working with the young men in our Church and community. I have served as an assistant scoutmaster and a venturing crew advisor. I love being with the young men in the outdoors on activities. It is great to enjoy nature and teach the youth about the great things in our world. The scouting principles teach our young men such powerful lessons; qualities that are so desperately needed in our society: thrift, good cheer, serving others, conscious of our surroundings, being our best self. All of these qualities build the young men into tomorrows leaders. I love being a part of that and in seeing the change in these young men as they grow and mature. It is a great way for me to give back, as I too had the privilege of experiencing these same opportunities as a youth.
