Hi I'm Jose Wilson

I grew up in California. I helped create the first Youth Opportunity Guide for San Joaquin County. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a paraprofessional teacher for children with special needs. I am an Eagle Scout (2002). I am a twin. I am adopted. I am a returned missionary and am currently a scout leader. I continue to chip away at my credentialing classes and have many good friends who are self motivating members of there community. I am a bee keeper and have found it to be fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted at the age of three, and so began to attend church with my Foster mom ( with my biological mothers permission of course!). I had a chance to listen to the missionaries as my eighth birthday approached. It was my choice. So, supported by my loving new family, I listened to the message the Elders shared. I was baptized and knew I felt safe in the church. As I grew, I deepened my knowledge of the restored gospel and strengthened my faith. I am a Mormon because with all that life has thrown my way (both good and difficulties) the truths of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ have been the major anchor of my soul that has brought me through many difficult and uncertain times. This is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. I don't watch rayed R movies. I don't participate in inappropriate activities. I won't take unnecessary risks. I stay away from food and drink that are harmful to my body. I am saving intimacy for my eternal companion someday. I do these things not because I am forced to but I do these things because I have seen and have faith of the blessing that come from obedience

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jose Wilson
Because it is within our homes that we learn. No one is perfect, but with our families we can learn to be better people we can learn to be better citizens in our communities long before we actually move away and have children of our own. Our family is were we practice what the gospel teaches us. Unconditional Love, patience, respect. Heaven wouldn't be heaven without my family by my side. With them and God I know I can face any challenge. Show more Show less
