Hi I'm Trina

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Here's my story: I was single until I was 28. That was a year and a half ago. I graduated from an awesome university - paid for it with a scholarship for running steeplechase and cross country - taught 2nd grade for 3 years, and went on a mission to Brazil. Back then I was big into rock climbing, mountain biking, triathlons, racquetball, playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, backpacking. . . anything outdoors and active! I organized frisbee games every Tuesday evening with a light-up disc. One evening an incredibly awesome guy and great frisbee player showed up. Now we are married with a cute and energetic little baby girl! Fun stuff! I have since added taking photos, blogging, playgroups, and baby time at the library to my hobby list. We have a great time!

Why I am a Mormon

I have learned that religion is a lifestyle. It's a way of thinking. When you know the gospel of Christ and you are striving to become like him that effects every aspect and decision in your life. That gives me direction, hope, and strength. By following the teachings of Christ I find peace, happiness, and joy. I feel the love Heavenly Father has for me and for others I associate with. The more I follow His commandments the closer I feel to Him. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches ALL the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't have to just take anyone's word on that - I am encouraged to ask the Lord myself. I have asked Him. I have felt his confirmation and reassurance that this is His church. That He has a prophet here today, receiving guidance as to how to lead His church. That He has a plan for me. That I have a Savior. That He loves me.

How I live my faith

Right now I help out at church by working with 9 year old boys as their Bear Den Leader in the Boy Scouts of America program. I help them learn new skills and pass of requirements to earn their awards.
