Hi I'm Mike

Hi, I'm Mike Muhlestein and I grew up in Utah, USA and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband of a wonderful wife (seen in the photo) and a father of 4 beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with my kids, riding the 4 wheelers around, reading, target shooting, and outdoor activities. I love to camp and be in the outdoors. I love to hunt coyotes with my friends and ward members, or anyone that will come along!

Why I am a Mormon

My mother and father reared me up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I remember choosing to be baptized at 8, and having an undeniable testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith's first vision at the age of 11 or 12. My defining moment, I guess you could call it that, was when I chose to serve a mission. My parents rarely brought up the subject of a mission as if not to give me the feeling they were pushing me into it. at least that's my opinion Once I prayed and Heavenly Father answered my prayer as to whether or not serving a mission was right, I have tried living the gospel to the best of my ability ever since. My conversion is ongoing as I have spiritual experiences in my life through living the gospel. Each experience helps me recommit and do better. To sum it up I guess, the reason that I am a "Mormon", is because I prayed about the truthfulness of the prophet Joseph Smith, and The Book of Mormon, among other things, and received a witness through the Holy Ghost that these are true. It's something I cannot deny. I know it to be true.  I believe that all of in this world are searching for things that truly bring us happiness. I have found that true happiness can be found through the teachings of the LDS church.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life by living my faith. Everything I do is centered around my faith in the Savior. I am currently serving as the bishop of my ward in Elko, Nevada and I love it. Our ward is the best! My family and I love to spend time together and much of that is centered around good community activities, and family friendly fun. We all go to church together each week and we have a family night each Monday that is just for us.
