Hi I'm Ellisa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors. I love walking, exercising, hiking, and being with family and friends. I have a wonderful husband and two small kids. They are miracles of God's love to all men. Having kids and raising them in this crazy world with shifting values is hard. I need to be better so my kids will have a positive example to follow on their way through this life and back to our Heavenly Father someday.  Going to the temple often also reminds me that I can be with my family forever if we strive to keep the Lord's commandments.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught by my parents and wonderful leaders in the LDS Church ever since I was little. I never really questioned my faith much until I was a youth. A series of difficult trials pushed me to find out if the church was true. And especially when I went away to college I needed to know what I was taught was true. As I prayed, read the Book of Mormon, and tried hard to follow the Savior's example, I felt my testimony within me grow. Now, I don't know how I could ever navigate this life without the gospel and the Lord's prophet. I am sure which direction I am going and how to achieve my goals in life with the prophet's counsels. I want to be the best wife and mother I can and this church helps me in that goal.

How I live my faith

I have taught three year olds in Sunday School, 12-13 year old girls, and other various callings in the church. Currently I am the cub scout committee chair of my ward and am learning much.
