Hi I'm Matt Cook

I'm an attorney I'm a businessman I'm a father I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 5 kids -- all boys except for 4! I am an owner of car dealerships , an attorney, and a bishop in the church. I also coach high school football. My life is full and fun!

Why I am a Mormon

At age 16 I read the Book of Mormon and spent a lot of time studying the gospel. I was overwhelmed with a feeling from the Holy Ghost that it was true. Once I knew that, my life changed and I knew I had to live the gospel every day. Anyone who wants to know whether its true can find out for themselves. Once they find out, it will change their life!

How I live my faith

Right now I serve as a Bishop of the Burley 11th Ward. In that calling I am responsible for the spiritual well-being of my congregation. I couldn't do that job without the help of many great people who serve others so effectively. I also get to spend a lot of time with the young people of the church which is one of the best parts of serving as a bishop!

Are Mormons Christians?

Matt Cook
Yes! Jesus Christ is the very root of all we do. We follow his teachings and have organized his church in the very way he did it when he was on the earth over 2000 years ago. The atonement of Jesus Christ is the most important event that ever happened or will happened as it assured the salvation of all mankind. That atonement and resurrection assured that everyone will be resurrected. Through the process of repentance, we can change and become like him. The very name of our church bears His name: "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" -- we are most definitely a Christian religion!!! Show more Show less
