Hi I'm Rebecca

I am a teenage writer and love the gospel. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love writing and always have. I want to become a professional writer or an editor for a publishing firm. I plan on marrying in a LDS temple to a great man who has served a mission and faithfully honors his priesthood. I love to read and can devour whole libraries at a time. I have a deathly fear of grasshoppers, but that is a story for another time. The gospel is a huge part of my life and I strive each day to become more and more like the savior. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, and it is because of him that I can return to live with him and my Father in Heaven. I know that President Monson is the Prophet on the earth today and that Joseph Smith Jr. was the prophet who restored the true church upon the earth in this last dispensation. I love this gospel and know it will always be there for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into this religion. The reason I am still a Mormon is because of the feeling I get whenever I read the scriptures or listen to a prophet or his representatives speak. I can feel the spirit strongly and never want to give that feeling up. This gospel offers everything anyone could ever want. We know that families can be together forever and that there is life after death. What is not to like?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to Seminary daily, magnifying my calling as pianist, and joining in visiting teaching. I love listening and reading to the conference talks and try to base my life off of them. I also try to follow what my local leaders have advised because they are the Prophet's representatives in my area.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The Mormon Church was first and for most organized by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Since the gospel was taken from the earth after Christ's death and resurrection, it was restored in 1830 by a man named Joseph Smith Jr. who had a vision when he questioned the other religion's confusing doctrine. Since then the number of members has skyrocketed, and it is easy to see why; the church is TRUE!! Show more Show less
