Hi I'm Seth

I love the joy that comes from being a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with a musical background and learned that music is a beautiful way to express the inner most desires of your heart. I play the guitar, harmonica, piano, and jaw harp. These are just a few of my hobbies. I also enjoy playing volleyball, soccer, foosball, and many other sports. I am an aspiring professional wrestler, but my wife wont let even wrestle with my nieces. My current interests are in computers and technology. I love education.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born my parents were already members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This did not make me a Mormon. I had to learn from the beginning just like anyone does that the gospel of Jesus Christ requires a personal conversion process. I was able to gain a testimony that this church is true by reading and studying the Book of Mormon. After studying I prayed to my God to know the truth of what I was taught. I learned that my relationship with him could be more personal and because of that I call him Heavenly Father. He is my celestial Father and cares more about me and my feelings than any other living thing can care for me. I am a Mormon because He shared with me a little bit of the love he has and I know what that feels like. I want everyone to have that opportunity.

How I live my faith

Testimonies do not grow on their own. They are living in the sense that if we do not feed them they will slowly die. Another example might be that of a flame on an oil lamp. The flame is a testimony. It can only continue to burn while there is oil in that lamp. In order to keep putting oil in my lamp I do many things during the week to live my faith. Some of the simplest involve praying daily to my Heavenly Father to thank him for blessings and also ask for things that will be of use to me during the day. I also study the gospel daily. It is important to study the gospel because that is where we can learn what the Lord would have us do to return to him. I also have a love for service. I feel that all of God's children have an opportunity to feel his love and if there is anything I can do to help them recognize that then I am happy. Serving is how I feel I can best share that love with others. I also attend weekly meetings with my family on Sundays. These meetings are a strength and builder for me and my family during the week.
