Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father, accountant by day, composer of music (...whenever the opportunity comes up), and love the chance to watch a good game of basketball or football with friends and family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my faith in Jesus Christ, in His involvement in my life, and in His hand establishing His church in our day. My Mormon faith continues a family legacy that began five generations ago. It was wonderful to have parents who put a high priority on principles of faith, study of the scriptures, prayer, family, hard work, and living a virtuous life. Though my choice to be a Mormon is based on my own obtained conviction of the truth found in this Church, I am forever grateful for faithful parents who showed the way. Now as I am a husband and father of my own three children, I have felt the common concern most parents feel to provide a strong example of an honorable life that my children can be proud of. To me, that is a life of worship, service, faith, and living the principles I learned as a child. That is what my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is all about!

How I live my faith

At home, all of our important decisions have begun and ended on our knees seeking the Lord's guidance. The power of prayer has provided the greatest impact on the decisions that have shaped my life. My wife feels the same, and one of the sweetest blessings that come from our shared faith is the unity we can share in our marriage. We live a busy but very fulfilling life. Having three children has been wonderful. Sometimes we wonder what we used to do before they were around to entertain us with first steps, words, drawings, etc. One of my favorite things to do at home is to play the piano (as best as possible) with my children on my lap. They sing along and we go through the favorites. The Church has a vast collection of hymns and children's songs, some of which they have come to know by heart. Working hard is a must in our circumstance, and I see that as a good thing. I cannot sit still for too long before I start getting anxious to do something. That trait was solidified when I was a missionary in France teaching about the beliefs of the Church. I love being out and about, learning new things, meeting new people, and trying to find ways to make meaningful contributions as I go. My faith makes work more pleasant and provides incentive to do the best I can in whatever I do. I also live my faith by serving in the Church in various ways. Teaching lessons on Sunday has become an invigorating activity I look forward to. Visiting other members and participating in service projects not only deepens my appreciation of the love Jesus Christ has shown in His service, but has provided dear friendships with neighbors - be they members of the Church or not.
