Hi I'm Shayden. I'm a husband, I'm a Baseball fanatic.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, First and foremost I am my wife's husband, and love having that privilege. I am currently a graduate student in Alabama studying Marriage and Family Therapy. I love it. I also love sports and the great outdoors. Fishing, Camping, Baseball have all been a part of my life ever since I can remember. In the last 7 years, I have lived in 2 different countries and in in 3 different states. I speak German fluently, and love practicing with others. One odd thing about me, my wife, my mom, and my aunt, all share the same first and last name.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a sincere desire to know Jesus Christ. Through the teachings of the Book of Mormon and the Bible together, I believe I have come to a greater knowledge of Him than I could anywhere else. They together have pushed me and challenged me to live morals and test truth than I could push myself to do alone. From the difficulty of trying to live an honest life in this world, I feel God has blessed me with a knowledge of His real love. I can testify that God has restored the truth which fell away after the death of Jesus Christ and His apostles. That He has called a prophet in these days, just like in days of old. All in all, this ultimately has been my real source of happiness, and the very reason I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. I am an ordinary person who has an extraordinary religion. That's it. I can honestly say that I live what I believe...not perfectly...but I try to live the principles I know to be true. I am in involved in my church each week as a teacher. I have been asked to teach the young men in our congregation a few times a month. It's a great time to have discussions about dating, work, challenges, and doctrines of Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Shayden. I'm a husband, I'm a Baseball fanatic.
Mormons believe the family is ordained of God, and that it's God's instrument to help His children be raised with values and morals. Families are meant to last forever, and not just till death, which is what makes His gospel literally "the good news." For me, this is most powerful for me to know. My father passed away at an early age of 43 from Lou Gherig's disease. He left me and my 4 sisters behind, which could have been devastating. But it hasn't been. Although we miss him dearly, my family and I have a very sweet peace with us, because we know that we will see him and be with him again, if we live our lives according to God's will. As I start my own family, I am so grateful to know that my family will be together forever, and that the "sting of death" literally is swallowed up in Christ. Show more Show less
