Hi I'm Dustin Rice

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student who works hard, and enjoys having fun. I recently served a 2 year mission preaching of Jesus Chirst on the East Coast. It was the greatest 2 years of my life! I am planning on going to dental school, but until then I am enjoying the college life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church. I did not always believe it, but always had access to the teachings. There came a time in my life that I was starting notice that I was uinhappy. What I thought was happiness was just smoke and mirrors. I had great friends who always seemed to be happy, even though they weren't doing the things that supposedly would make you "happy." I noticed that the Gospel of Christ was what made them happy. I prayed and sought after the knowledge that they had. After much tear shed and earnest seeking I discovered for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was and is Christ true church on the earth. I know that it is true through prayer and fasting. through warm comforting feeling and experiences that I cannot deny, I know that this is true. True happiness comes from the true source, that is Jesus Christ and His Gospel!

How I live my faith

I Strive to live the gospel everyday. The teachings we hear about is not just for knowledge, it is to better ourselves. Through daily scripture study and prayer I draw closer to my father in heaven daily.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Dustin Rice
We Believe God not to be some unknowable unlovable being, but as our loving Heavenly Father. He is "the father of our Spirits" who loves us in a perfect manner. All things in this life denotes that there is a God, and all things in the world were made for us by God toshow his love for us. As we Look to God as our father we will see that all things are for our good. When we go through trials and tribulations, it is not because God is punishing us, or hates us. He wants us to be strong and gain experience and be the happiest that we can be. A father always know what is best for their children. Parents will not let their children eat dessert before dinner not because they hate their children, but because they love them and want them to grow. That is how our Father in heaven is. He loves all of his children equally and strives to talk to us always. We as his children must be ready to listen and follow the counsel that He, our loving Heavenly Father, is giving us.
