Hi I'm Becca

I'm a horse-woman, a professional photographer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana. I learned about hard work and a love of the land at an early age. I love to work in the dirt, to get my hands dirty whether it's working in the garden or working with animals. Being around animals and being surrounded by such beautiful creations since I was a baby and learning about life and death at such an early age, I soon learned that "all things" truly do testify of Christ" (Moses 6:63), that I am a child of God and that death is just a small step on the road back to our heavenly home. My mom is a convert to the Church. The two young men that came to her with that message of 'glad tidings' shared it with her and she knew it was true. I was raised in the Church. I remember sitting in front of the T.V. watching General Conference and hearing President Harold B. Lee speak. I knew that he was a prophet of God and that what he said was true.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's true, it makes me happy and gives me great comfort and strength to be strong in today's environment.

How I live my faith

I share my beliefs through my photography and try and stand as 'a witness at all times and in all things and in all places.' Reading my scriptures every day is very important to me and even though it doesn't make the day go perfectly, it does allow me to deal with whatever happens in a way that is acceptable to the Lord. A day without reading the scriptures is a day without light.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Becca
Take any one of our Heavenly Father's creations and examine it closely. Do you see His hand in that creation? Now take several creations that are related, i.e., insects or birds or flowers, etc., and examine them closely; how could anyone not see that these things just didn't come about by chance? Take a vegetable, fruit, tree or flower seed. Think of the color, taste, smell that that tiny seed contains and the potential that is contained within it. There is a master plan and we are the Master's greatest creation. If we will take the time each day to recognize and acknowledge His creations, we will come to understand that "...all things testify of Christ" (Moses 6:63) and we will be able to see and recognize His hand in all aspects of our lives.
