Hi I'm Bart

I'm a Mormon scientist.

About Me

I'm a family man -- I love to spend as much time as possible with my wife and kids. Professionally, I have a Ph.D. in molecular biology and work as a biomedical researcher at a biopharmaceutical company. I enjoy reading, and science, and reading about science (my wife's joke). I also like reading fiction, and I enjoy playing squash and racquetball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God wants me to be. I have prayed to God about His will for me, I felt His Holy Spirit telling me that it is His will for my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying follow Christ's example in my interactions with everyone around me. I try to be kind to others. When others act in ways that seem unkind toward me, I remind myself that I don't know what their background and circumstances are, that Christ loves them, and try not to judge them.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Absolutely! Mormons read the Bible and know it is God's word. The Book of Mormon isn't a replacement for the Bible. It is additional scripture, just like the New Testament is a complement to the Old Testament. Show more Show less
