Hi I'm Stephanie!

I'm a proud Texan. I'm a CNA. I love the sunshine. I'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I've lived most of my life in Houston, Texas...I'm probably its biggest fan. I have the most loveable family ever- my mom, dad, 3 brothers, dog, chinchilla, and hundreds of lizards! I am currently a full-time missionary in the best mission ever (in Cleveland, Ohio), but when I return home I will be going to school for nursing. I would love to work in pediatrics and with down syndrome kids- they will always have my heart. I am an avid baker and would love to own a small bakery someday- experimenting with recipes is one of my favorite things to do! I love the sunshine, it brings the greatest HAPPINESS to my heart and soul! And smiling is probably my most favorite thing to do! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be baptized when I was 8 years old. Even though I was sure when I was 8 that I wanted to be baptized, there came a point in my life where I questioned my decision made at such a young age. I decided that I couldn't just follow my parents or the rest of the crowd anymore. I needed to know for myself. I studied from the Book of Mormon and I prayed about what I read, on more than one occasion...yes, it's that simple! I soon made the connection that my non-stop smile came from reading the Book of Mormon :). As I prayed, I read my answers to questions in the Book of Mormon, and it brought me this peace to know that Heavenly Father was aware of me. I choose to follow Christ, and what better way than being apart of His church. I know this is Christ's church, if it wasn't then I would have received an answer telling me otherwise. The Book of Mormon and the Bible are both the word of God. I know that I am a unique and virtuous daughter of a very loving Heavenly Father :).

How I live my faith

Before my mission, I had the privilege of teaching 4, 7-8, and 10-11 year olds. I was also a teacher for the women in the congregation that I attended. But for this specific 18 months, I live my faith by sharing my love for Christ and His church as a full-time missionary. I study the Bible and Book of Mormon so that I can be prepared to share the things I learn with those I meet every day. I try my best to live by example, and to love those around me as Christ would love them. I remind myself everyday that everyone is a child of God and that I love them as who they really are. I reach out and help those around me understand their purpose in this life. It's the greatest feeling ever when people understand who they are and that they have a Heavenly Father :).
