Hi I'm Becky

I grew up in Michigan and love playing the piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Exercise and Wellness. I love learning about science and nutrition, and I love being active out in nature. In my free time, I could spend hours playing the piano and drawing pictures. When I was little, my parents were astounded at my long attention span I once spent three hours drawing and coloring pictures when I was only three years old. Another one of my hobbies is traveling. I love discovering new places, and I hope to one day have a career that will allow me time to visit the world with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a long time, and I even have ancestors who were Mormon pioneers, but it was my own choice to be baptized and become a member of the Church. Through study and pondering and prayer, I have received a witness from the Holy Spirit that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's Church on the earth, and it is being led by a true prophet of God under the direction of the Savior Jesus Christ. One of my favorite things about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is that each and every one of us can pray to find out for ourselves it is true. If we study, ponder, and pray with a sincere heart, real intent, and faith in Christ, the Holy Ghost will manifest to us that it is true.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings more happiness into my life than anything else. When I was baptized, I made a promise to God that I would keep His commandments and love and serve others, and that is what I try to do. Recently I had the wonderful opportunity to be a full-time missionary for a year and a half, and I had incredible experiences teaching others about Jesus Christ and seeing their lives change as they made the decision to follow Christ's example and be baptized. Even though I am no longer a full-time missionary, I still look for opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve and lift others. I try to think of what Christ would do wherever I go, and I constantly pray to be aware of others' needs and to recognize ways I can help. I am far from perfect, but as I trust in the Savior and do my best to reach out to and love others, I know He will make up for my inadequacies.
