Hi I'm Valerie!

I'm a daugher, a sister, a wife, an auntie, a friend, and generally an average person. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

This is me - the new me. The 'me' that is done with school, cut my hair to have bangs, and finally got contact lens. The 'me' that is working to regain all the patience, sweetness and kindness she had before school and work got her down. The 'me' that feels more and more ready everyday to try to master my world, instead of just trying to keep up with it.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon for me is like getting my eyes to be able to focus. The Gosple gives me grounding, and helps me to see the things that are most important and essential in life. This in turn brings me peace of mind, and a little less chaos in a crazy world. I get off track all the time; but I feel like I know how to get back on track again. That is a source of relief and comfort to me.

How I live my faith

I try to an active participant in church meetings and our youth group...but I think the most important part of living my faith is how I LIVE. I try to help my neighbors weed their garden or find their dog; open a door for someone who's hands are full or someone who's elderly; do my best work in my classes or at my job; be involved in community events; try to remember to just smile. Things we all already do as decent human beings living together on this planet...I do because of my faith in God and my faith in humanity.
