Hi I'm Heidi

I'm a Forensic Specialist, I'm a Mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Forensic Fingerprint Specialist who has worked in Law Enforcement for over 25 years and I've been married for 22 of them. My husband and I have three amazing children who bring great joy into our lives. I lead a very active and often hectic life. While I love raising my family best I also love running, golfing, scuba diving, fishing, watching college football on Saturdays Go Bucks!!! and scrapbooking, oh and get this....I love folding laundry especially while I'm watching football. Weird I know but it's the truth. I'm not perfect but I want to be. Maybe not at everything but at the important things. I rarely ever give up if it's something I really believe in or want and I love making people laugh, it's the best feeling and one I always try to share with others. Maybe someday it can be you...

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a part member family. A practicing mother and a non-member father so the gospel was always present in my life but not practised. My understanding of the gospel principles was good but my application of its principles were left floundering and unchecked. I leaned heavily upon the faith of others until one day now a young adult I read in the Book of Mormon a verse that changed my understanding of true faith. It was in Alma chapter 32 verse 27. I learned that if I was to truly have the testimony I yearned for on my own that I must first have a desire and then build upon that desire. As with any application process it takes practice and CONSTANT effort but it doesn't take perfection..and that's why I continue and will always continue to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a counselor in the Young Women's program. I love working and being around these precious young girls. It's a privilege to be apart of teaching and developing their testimonies of Jesus Christ. Being a teenage girl in today's world has challenges unlike any other period in history. Satan has waged a war and the youth are a primary target. Teenage drug abuse, alcohol use and sexual immortality are a constant worldly encourgement these youth face. They need all the love, teaching and support they can get to help them stand strong against the temptations that are berating them daily. That's what I do....that's what I love.
