Hi I'm Will

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of six, a grandfather of four. I am a civil engineer, designing roadways, intersections and freeways. I have the beginnings of a railroad empire in my basement.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church because my family did, and I thought it was the right thing to do to be with my family. I've stayed in the church nearly 35 years because the teachings and the people involved have helped me be a better father, husband and neighbor. I have enjoyed the opportunity and privilege to help my family and others to improve themselves in the same way.

How I live my faith

I have had many different opportunities to serve others within our congregation. On occasion, it has involved teaching Gospel principles in a Sunday School setting. At other times it has involved working with the youth. Throughout my church membership, I have had the opportunity to visit with a number of families outside of a church setting on a monthly basis. I only hope I have been able to provide as much support to them as I have been able to recieve from our visits.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

It's all in perspective. The Savior's actions at his death and ressurection have eternal consequences. Knowing one of those consequences is that families can be together forever. I think that should help us see most of the trivial things that irk us and cause waves within our close relationships are insignificant and fixible within that eternal perspective. Knowing that the eternal connections can be effected by what we do or say here and now, we are more careful to make corrections when we can, forgive more readily, and make decisions with an eye looking beyond the future we think we can see.
