Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a stay at home mother. I am a blessed wife. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a small town country girl, who married a Southern California surfer. My husband is teaching me the ways of the city and I like it. But I will always be a country girl at heart. We have 2 little girls that I am able to stay home with. Being a mother is challenging to me but I find so much joy in learning and growing with my children. I went to school for organizational communication and enjoy learning and studying anything that improves any form of personal and interpersonal communication. Most activities that I love include my family (extended or in-laws). I love and crave time with family. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking, reading, crafting, and one on one time with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have always had a strong testimony. As a teenager I struggled a little and my first year of college even stopped attending church, but even when I was going through that, I always knew the church was true and that I had a Heavenly Father who loved me. I got my act together and decided to serve a mission when I turned 21. My brother and I are the first missionaries ever to serve in our family. And we are very happy to leave that legacy. My mission not only strengthened my testimony, but changed my life. For the first time I had a perfectly clear vision of what I wanted for my future. I unfortunately had to come home early from my mission due to medical conditions I developed while in the field. This was a very difficult time, but a blessing I would soon realize. The timing of everything made it possible for my husband and I to meet. In our sealing we were told that our meeting was orchestrated by the Lord. And I truly do believe that. And we have been blessed with 2 little girls. Now that I have a family of my own. All the teachings that I learned growing up and what I taught to others in the mission field is right in front of me. I am a Mormon because doing so allows me and my family to be eternal, it protects me and my family from the world and power of Satan, it allows me to have a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven. We have a modern day prophets and apostles that lead and guide us. Their counsel allows me to grow as a person and closer to my Heavenly Father. Without the gospel I believe I would be lost, sad, and confused about my purpose here on earth. But with it I have gratitude, joy, and understanding.

How I live my faith

In our church we are often given assignments or opportunities to serve. I am in charge of planning monthly activities for the women. To be honest when I was first asked, I really struggled, but in time and with many prayers, I now love it. I know the Lord gives us challenges to allow us to learn and grow. That is what these assignments or "callings" allow us to do. I love coming up with spirit filled activities that might allow the women to grow as women, wives, and mothers. I find so much joy in serving them and am so blessed to have learned the lessons that I am learning while serving them.
