Hi I'm Chad

I grew up in Hooper, UT. I work as a financial service professional. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the proud father of three children, 2 boys and 1 girl. My hobbies include: snow skiing, hiking, camping and supporting any of my kid's interests; which include but are not limited to: Lacrosse, Track/Cross-Country and Ballet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My genealogy includes many "Mormons" including Pioneer ancestors that crossed the plains en-route to the Salt Lake Valley. Regardless of being raised in a State where 75% of the population is a member of the LDS Church, I have developed my personal belief that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church. My personal testimony is simple and straightforward. I know that prophets have lived on the Earth since Adam and have recorded God’s instructions to His children through sacred documents known as scripture. I know that the birth of Jesus Christ was prophesied of and foretold by prophets of God. I testify of His birth, mission, atonement, death and resurrection. Because Jesus Christ atoned for our transgressions we have the ability to repent and become clean. Because Jesus Christ rose on the third day we will ultimately resurrect. I love Him and I know that he and the Father love me. He is the Savior of the World. He is the Son of our Heavenly Father. He is my friend and advocate to the Father. My testimony has grown through much study and prayer. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored with all truths and authority. Our Heavenly Father’s plan is a plan of happiness. I have been blessed and uplifted during difficult times and have felt an increase of love and peace when I share my burdens with my Father in Heaven. I recognize the source of these peaceful feelings as the Holy Ghost or the Spirit of Truth.

How I live my faith

We have a saying on our mirror that reads, "live like you believe". I see this saying multiple times during the course of my day and it does have a positive effect on the decisions I make. I work hard to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and know that many in our community do. I work with the youth of our church specifically the Young Men and Venturing Scouts. I enjoy taking the scouts on long hikes where we can talk about the Gospel outside of Church. The youth know when they come to church we are going to teach them about the Savior and His mission. When we camp and hike we are able teach in a much different way which allows us to gain a deeper testimony of His creation as we enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.
