Hi I'm Gina
A am a mother, a friend, a desciple. I am a Mormon.
I was born in Michigan, raised in Indiana, and now live in Utah. My parents were baptized into the LDS church 6 weeks before I was born. I had the beautiful opportunity to be sealed to them for time and all eternity when I as 4 years old in the Atlanta, Georgia Temple. Later on in life I have and continue to be blessed with additional special promises and blessings in our holy temples. I have the mighty responsibility of raising a son that brings light and joy into my daily life. I love entertaining, teasing, teaching, playing, and encouraging him as he grows way too fast! I recently was remarried and have two additional children. I love and admire them as if I raised them from birth. All three of my children bring me so much joy and fulfillment!
Since my parents were converts to the church, I was blessed to be raised in the LDS faith. I still think about those sister missionaries who knocked on my parents' door. I am forever grateful that my parents felt the Spirit guide them to invite the missionaries into their home. The timing of it all is a testimony to me that I am a part of Heavenly Father's grand plan of happiness. He ensured I had parents that were given the tools to raise me in the most loving way. Their devoted examples of faith and service have guided my life in the direction towards living with my elder brother, Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father again some day. Today, as a parent myself, I hope to be a good example to my son so he will have the tools he needs to become close to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
I live my faith by striving to be a good example to those around me through the way I dress, my actions, and what I say. My current calling in the church in my area (ward) is Relief Society President and a visiting teacher (home visits). I love the sisters and families in my ward. Accepting and magnifying the calls to serve in this church increases my testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. My activity in the church has helped mold me into the person I am today. Prayer is very important in my daily life. Formal personal and family prayers are done daily in our home to help invite the Spirit. I also like to keep a prayer in my heart throughout each day and I ask Heavenly Father to communicate with me. He blesses me with answers to small items that may be on my mind to very important actions I need to take. The Gift of the Holy Ghost is a blessing I feel fortunate to have in my daily life. Rich experiences are made possible by the Spirit. Heavenly Father has blessed me with an open mind and the ability to create friendships that last a lifetime. I truly believe the people who populate the earth are my brothers and sisters -- and should be treated as such. Jesus Christ is my elder brother and Savior. I strive to be more like Him as I interface with all of Heavenly Father's children within the church and throughout the community.
