Hi I'm Jarom

My passion is music. I love jamming with friends, writing songs, playing the saxophone and piano! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE music! I play the saxophone, piano, and sing. I love writing songs and jamming with other musicians. My favorite types of musica are Reggae, Ska, Jazz, and Alternative Rock. I went to a year of college starting my degree in music performance, and now I'm out here on my mission in Canada! Right now, I'm teaching people about the gospel, but after my two years are done, I'll go back home and finish my degree and start my career as a musician. I am also going to search for an amazing woman to marry someday, and then have some kids! I also love to read, swim, and enjoy the outdoors. I like rock climbing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, and camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church; my parents are wonderful followers of Christ and have shown me how following Christ brings ultimate happiness in this life! During my teenage years, I really saw how miserable that I was when not keeping God's commandments. My life went downhill, and I had a really dark few years in my life. I realized that I had to change, and little by little I've been healed by Jesus Christ. I'm SO much happier now in my life; I could die a happy man tomorrow. I know that none of us are perfect, but through Jesus Christ we can erase the mistakes that we all make in life. Through Him, my life has become better. I'm MUCH happier, I have greater self-esteem and self-confidence, and I'm a little more easy going.

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm in Canada for two years on my mission. I teach people about Christ's restored gospel, and how it can change their lives. I help people to develop faith in Jesus Christ through prayer, going to church, reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and keeping God's commandments. I also help people to repent, and become clean from their sins by asking God for forgiveness, turning away from the sin, and never doing it again. After Repentance comes baptism, where all the sins are washed away, and people covenant with God to follow Him. In return, He blesses them with the Holy Spirit which can protect them and be help for their spiritual journey throughout their lives. Doing this has brought me such a great amount of happiness. I've seen people become transformed because of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ did for them. He really did suffer for everyone's sins and payed that penalty so that we could be forgiven, and we could recieve help to become more like him. My life has been transformed by Jesus Christ. So, as missionaries, you'll see us with the white shirt, ties, and black name badges. We can usually be found knocking people's doors, talking to them on the street, doing community service, or meeting with people in their homes. I've been called to serve as a missionary for two years. For two years, I'm here away from family and friends in Ontario, Canada. I work every day to help people follow Jesus Christ.
