Hi I'm Halli

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 26 years old and married. My husband is a medical resident and wonderful man. I am a mother of three young children. I love to dance, teach dance, and smile. I spend my time caring for my children and teaching them how to learn to be happy. I don't enjoy grocery shopping. I do enjoy meeting new people and trying new things! One hour a week I get to instruct a line dance class at a local YMCA. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes sense to me, it brings purpose and joy to my life. No matter where I go the truths remain. My Heavenly Father knows me, He loves me, He has a plan for me. His plan rests in the mission of His Son, Jesus Christ. I can learn more about Jesus Christ when I read the Book of Mormon. The more I learn of Jesus, the more I can try to be like Him. The church will assist me as I teach my children to follow the example of our Savior. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is under the direction of God and Jesus Christ. We have a prophet on Earth, his name is Thomas S. Monson. As a Mormon, I have the opportunity to make and keep sacred covenants with God. I am held accountable to this higher law and I feel blessed for any sacrifices I make as I try to be obedient. I love to serve and share what I know with others. This gospel is "Good News".

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the Young Women of my ward. These girls are ages 12-18. I help to organize weekly activities that provide fun, service, bonding-type experiences. I also take part in teaching the lesson on Sundays when we meet together to learn and strengthen each other spiritually. Each month I try to make a visit to the home's of at least two women in my church. During these visits I come to know her as a friend. We talk about life's blessings and challenges and I look for opportunities to make a difference, or to serve the woman that I visit. The most important way that I live my faith is by caring and nurturing my children and loving and supporting my husband. At the end of each day I feel successful if I have put my family first.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I know there is a God when I look at the beauty of the land. This did not just happen. God asked Jesus Christ to create a world. He did and he did a wonderful job. What great artistry. Show more Show less
