Hi I'm Penelope

I love my family, decorating my home, getting to know new people, music and laughing children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, homemaker and a professional volunteer! I have been married for 19 1/2 years and have four beautiful children. I am living my dream. Being a homemaker totally satisfies me. I adore singing, dancing and acting. I gave up my other dream of becoming a professional actress on stage and I've never regreted it. My family is everything to me and they are worth the sacrifice. To make up for my desire to perform, I sing many of my conversations with my children or speak to them in a different accent. It drives them nuts and makes me giggle. Life is wonderful!

Why I am a Mormon

I was a Mormon by birth almost 39 years ago, but a Mormon today by choice. In a world of much confusion and chaos I delight in the stability it offers. The standards of yesterday are the standards of today. We don't fluctuate with the whims and beliefs of those who have pull or influence in our society. It brings me peace, knowing that I am following a Prophet who leads us on behalf of the Lord. It has been my absolute experience that the doctrines found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints free me. It directs me to make choices that leave me free to choose again and again. Thus, even more peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday! My love for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ compel me to live my religion seven days a week and not just on Sunday. I remind myself daily of who and where I come from by getting on my knees each day and talking to my Heavenly Father. I know He is there and He hears ME. I read from the scriptures daily to hear from Him. I keep art work of sacred things and uplifting literature in my home to remind me too. I attend church each Sunday and I serve the teen girls there, as one of their Youth Leaders. I cherish them and know they are ever watching. They need good and stable leaders to give them the strength and reassurance they are seeking. They want to be successful in life. As I watch and serve them I develope an even greater conviction to live my faith daily.
