Hi I'm Tom

I'm a convert to The Church.

About Me

I am married and have three children. I love to play golf and baseball is our familie's favorite sport.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know the doctrines of The Church are true. I joined The Church because ever since I was a young boy I had very strong feelings about The Savior and His gospel. When I was in a place where I could hear the gospel everything I felt deep down inside about Christ was confirmed. I will always be eterenally grateful that my Heavenly Father in His infinite mercy allowed me to find His true church and be a partaker of the blessings that come from knowing His Plan of Happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving wherever I am called. I have had the privelage of serving the youth of The Church for many years. I experience great joy as I see testimonies of The Savior grow and confidence gained. Through my service in The Church I have been able to work as a scout leader, a leader of young men, and now am serving as the leader of my congregation as a bishop. One of the things I love most about the Church is the service provided by all of it's members. We have no paid clergy, everyone gives of their time and talents for the blessings and benfits of others.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Before joining The Church I heard that Mormons had their own "Bible" and didn't even believe in Jesus Christ as The Savior. That is an unfortunate misconception. Maybe why that idea exists is because we do have the Book of Mormon as additional scripture and testimony that Jesus is The Christ and Savior of the world. The wonderful truth is that the Book of Mormon not only supports the Bible, I have come to know that it proves it to be even more true than I knew it before. The Holy Scriptures Bible and Book of Mormon witness that our Heavenly Father has had a plan from the beginning and sent prophets to testify of Christ from the beginning of the earth until now and their words are recorded in sacred scripture.
