Hi I'm McKell

I'm a life-long student, an army wife, and a mother of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I recently completed our bachelor's degrees. I loved the environment of constant learning which school offered and hope to create that in our home. Now, with two kids in tow, we're venturing into Army life. We're not sure what to expect or where life is going to take us, but we're looking forward to the ride.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the Church. Over time I wanted to know for myself that this Church was true. I wanted to know why I was sticking to the standards I'd been taught. So I tested these things. It wasn't a big moment, but many little ones. It was each time I felt the Spirit touch my heart when I prayed or read the scriptures. It was the testimony of my family and the amazing lives of those I encountered at church each week. I have never been disappointed when I followed the guidance of the Prophet and other Church leaders. It is those moments when I test their words and exercise a particle of faith that my life is filled with peace and contentment. The more completely I try live this gospel, the happier I am!

How I live my faith

The organizations within the Church are a source of great blessings in my life. Attending the woman's organization gives me the opportunity to learn from other women. I feel uplifted everytime I attend!
