Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in California. I'm a jock, geek, student, Mormon, and I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

Currently I am serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the state of Indiana. I will be there for two years starting April 2011 and ending April 2013. I will be returning to college after I am done to continue my education. My major is Kinesiology. I previously worked at a physical therapy clinic and will be going to physical therapy school once I finish up my undergrad. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with people, especially seeing them rehab and leave with less pain than when they came in. The immediate positive feedback is wonderful to view each and every day. I love sports especially volleyball and basketball. I have always actively participated in them growing up and hope to be able to continue doing that as I grow older. I also enjoy almost anything sci-fi related, most importantly Firefly! :D I love to cook, specifically experiment cook to see if I can come up with good meals without a recipe. It is always a an adventure doing this. It helps me be more creative and expand my knowledge of what works well together or what does not work well...haha.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were members but this is not why I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This Church is unlike anything I have ever experienced. The people are extremely helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is one of love and care. My family moved when I was 11 years old. When we arrived at our new house we already had members from the Church there ready to welcome us and help us move it.

How I live my faith

I live and show my faith by the way I dress and how I interact with everyone. I try to be as Christ would, friendly, helpful, cheerful, and full of love. Everyone is a child of God and they should be treated as such. We all have different experiences and struggles but we are all here trying to do our best. We need to be there to support and help one another. I try to do that as much as possible.
