Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a father. I climb mountains. I work for Mickey Mouse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a very happily married father of four rambunctious children, three boys and a little girl. I work in Seattle as a Senior Network Engineer for The Walt Disney Company. I love the outdoors, whether it be camping, hiking, backpacking, canoeing or my latest hobby, climbing mountains. Living in the Pacific Northwest provides an abundance of all these things and I don't think I'll ever live anywhere else. My boys and I love sports and I'm working on getting my daughter to love them too, though I frequently get resistance from my wife on that. I love my family and feel that I have a great life!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to various other churches, learning a little here and a little there, but was never very consistent. I wasn't raised in a religious family, but I had my own strong ideas about what kind of a life I wanted to live and what kind of family I wanted to have. When a friend (now my wife) invited me to come to church with her at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was open to it and decided to give it a shot. I was impressed from the first day with the quality of people I met and soon found that they taught what I knew to be true, they lived how I wanted to live and they had families just like the family I wanted to have someday. Twelve years later, I still know without a doubt that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and I recognize the blessings I've been given every day because of the choice I made to join His Church.

How I live my faith

In the years since I've joined the church, I've had many different opportunities to serve others in my various responsibilities. I love working with other people and find it truly rewarding to be able to help people out. My most important responsibility is being a father to my children and a good husband to my wife. I have 4 very active children and I feel the most important thing I can do for them is to be a good example and to raise them up right to make good choices and to teach them importance and blessings of hard work.
