Hi I'm Nathan

I am 38 years old. I live in Northern California. I have been happily married 15 years and have 3 wonderful children.

About Me

I have been happily married 15 years and have 3 wonderful children. My hobbies are art and public speaking. In particular I love airbrushing, photography and pencil drawing. I have never met a microphone I didn’t like. I never tire of speaking to large groups of people about my love for the Savior and how we can all make whatever we want of ourselves here in America. As an expression of my love for the aging population amoung us, I run an in-home care company for seniors. This type of work provides me with a lot of satisfaction.

Why I am a Mormon

It is not just one event or experience. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because of a lifetime of ongoing and definite experiences. It began with simple daily prayer; through which I have come to know that God exists. Similarly I have spent many hours studying scriptures, learning of Jesus and exercising faith in following his example. It is only through this practice of his gospel and earnest prayer about the Book of Mormon and other doctrines taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that I have found my own answer to the question, “Is this the truth.” The beauty of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to me is that it has such unique opportunities for a specific answer. The Book of Mormon, for example. It is not held by any other church. If it is true, its truth provides a specific answer to which church is true. I have read this book many times and asked God if it truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. In answer to those prayers, I have felt many definite and powerful feelings that this book is true and that Jesus lives and that God still communicates with his children through modern day prophets. I believe that only God could answer that question for me. I know that God still loves his children and continues to lead and communicate with them through prophets and apostles, as he always has. I’m sure that sounds spectacular. But when I think about the unbelievable nature of that statement I ask myself, why didn’t anyone get on the ark that Noah built? Because they didn’t believe that he was a prophet. Why did they crucify Jesus? Because they didn’t believe he was the Savior. It stands to reason that it would as hard to believe in living prophets today as it was to believe that Noah was a prophet when he as alive and that Jesus was the Savior. I do believe that Jesus lived on the Earth and still lives today. I believe that he communicates with a living prophet today, as he always has. I know that the only way to find a true answer to which church is the Church of Jesus Christ, is by reading the Book of Mormon and asking God if it is true. He will answer. Not just once, but through a lifetime of experiences.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is by loving everyone that I meet.
