Hi I'm Tim Jensen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Mesa, Arizona and lived there until my fathers job moved us to Salt Lake City, Utah when I was ten years old. I spent the rest of my childhood in Kearns, Utah before serving the Lord in the Philippines Naga mission. In 2010 I met the love of my life, Kimberly Miller, and we were married on the 18th of December in the Salt Lake Temple. We now live in Augusta Georgia.

Why I am a Mormon

Life was not always easy growing up in a home with mixed feelings about God and religion. Not everyone in my family is a member of the church, and there came a time when I had to choose how I wanted to live the rest of my life. In those moments I reflected on the peace I often felt when reading the scriptures, or the words of living prophets and apostles. There was in the church a refuge from the deluge of chaos, evil, and heartache that seemed to be closing in all around me, and I wanted to secure that peace for myself. I am a Mormon, because I received a witness through the power of the spirit that this is God's church. The security, love, and peace that I have felt as a result of living the way Father in Heaven wants us all to live further solidifies my love for God, and my desire to continue my efforts to be more like Him. He is aware of the heartache we feel sometimes in this life, and our desires to find meaning and purpose in this life. He has, once again, sent prophets and apostles to teach us eternal principles that will help us be more like God. When I listen to these prophets and apostles speak, I know that what they say is from God. This is God's church on the earth, and it's doors are open to anyone who wishes to learn more about their relationship to God and how they can find greater peace and happiness in this life. If you don't believe that, come worship with us on Sundays and find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

It can be difficult to live all the principles and teachings of the Savior, but I am grateful for the power that prayer gives me to do more than I can do myself. As I pray and work to be more like the Savior, He strengthens my ability to keep His commandments, and I feel closer to Him. Having that added strength has helped me to serve the youth of my congregation better while balancing time with my family, work, and school.
