Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a wife, a triplet and a pharmacist...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and grew up there with my family. I am a triplet and have another sister a year younger, so it was always a full house! I am currently in Kenora Ontario where I am working as a pharmacist. I am married to my best friend and we have fun going to movies together and playing video games. Some of my other hobbies are baking, quilting and reading. We have four cats, a White German Shepherd dog and a Doberman/Black Lab puppy all of who keep us quite busy! I was baptized into the church about 6 years ago. Our family website: www.amenglish.weebly.com

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Christian- I went to the United Church when I was young, I went to a Mennonite elementary school and a Catholic high school. I learned about Jesus Christ but never felt close to him. When I was 16 I started dating a boy who was Mormon. He had the courage and desire to talk to me about his church. I remember when he was teaching me a feeling of warmth and comfort came over me. Three years later as he set off for his mission he left me with a Book of Mormon and asked if I would read it. I did, and then prayed to know if it was true. I received an answer to my prayer, an unforgettable feeling of warmth and happiness filled my heart, I knew it was true and that I had to be baptized! When he returned from his mission, he baptized me in the lake at the family cottage (where we met) and a year later we were married in the temple. It has not always been easy; my family was very against me joining the church and marrying a Mormon. But I had prayed and knew what was right so that's what I had to do! I love this church and now I feel close to Jesus Christ. My faith and knowledge has increased so much. I would like to share that I know that Jesus Christ lived upon the earth where he performed miracles and established his church, the Church of Jesus Christ. He taught us how and why we should be baptized, how we should remember him by and showed how the church should be organized, among many things. I know that Jesus Christ died for all of mankind and was resurrected 3 days later and lives again today. I know that this same church that Jesus Christ created when he was on this earth is once again restored to its fullness, now called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who has not forgotten about His people in this day. I know that He can answer our prayers and that miracles still exist today. I am so thankful for this knowledge and encourage everyone to find out for themselves, you will not regret it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the commandments. I try to be a good, friendly person and try to help others as often as I can, whether it's helping move firewood for a neighbor or making cookies to cheer someone up. I go to church every Sunday to remember Jesus Christ. At church I help teach kids ages 3-12 through lessons, crafts and songs.
