Hi I'm Elena

I'm a mother to five wonderful children, wife to my best friend, and a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a convert to the LDS church since July of 2005. Two months after being baptized I became a widow and was left a single mother with a 7 month son and a 3 year old daughter. Being a single parent and a recent convert was quite a challenge, but my desire to have a better life for my children and I was even greater. In 2008 I remarried to a wonderful man, my best friend and now my eternal companion. He was, and still is, a lifelong active member who had two wonderful children at the time, an 8 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. We became a combined family of six. Together my husband and I had another son, who created a stronger bond between our new family. I've had drastic changes in my life and I cannot deny the hand of God in every single aspect of it. He has blessed me tremendously as I have accepted the challenges of this life. The gospel gave me purpose, meaning and direction. It has also thaught me that anything is possible when God is at your side. I have developed a strong personal testimony of the gospel through living and practicing its teachings. It is this testimony that helps me through life's trials and tribulations when they arise. As I grow closer to my Savior I grow spiritually and my vision about life and the gospel also increases. It takes faith and courage to live the gospel, but I can testify, it is all worth it!

Why I am a Mormon

Mormons have many unique things, the gift of Holy Ghost, personal revelation and the Book of Mormon. I have read and received a personal testimony of the Book of Mormon. I have received a personal revelation of who I am in this earth and my purpose. Through out my membership I have experienced many miracles and have felt the tender mercies of a loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. No other church has the complete and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ and the answers to many of life's questions like, where we come from, who we are and where we are going. No others give the opportunity to be sealed with a spouse and family for all eternity. I love living this gospel, it brings me guidance, blessings, peace and love. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church on the face of the earth that has a living prophet and 12 apostles, as seers and revelators who have the authority of God on this earth today. There is no greater confirmation to me that this is the true church, than that of many members receiving the same personal testimony. Anyone asking in faith and sincerity can receive this revelation for themselves.

How I live my faith

We attend church regularly as a family and participate in additional meetings such as Stake Conferences and General Conferences. I've served in different callings through out my membership, which have contribute to my growth spiritually and educationally. We support our children in their attendance to Boys Scout, Girls Activity Nights, Young Women's and Young Men activities during the week. I also support my husband in his callings and service to the church by attending to the needs of the home in his absence. I try to be of assistance to those who I'am able to reach, in and outside of the church. Participation in Relief Society is a great motivation and strength to the women of the church; I love attending when my callings allow it. I share my testimony of the gospel as often as possible to members and non-members of the church. My husband and I dedicate time to personal scripture study, scripture study as a family, family home evenings, personal and family fasting and prayer. We work together as a team in our home in love and unity. We work diligently to develop our talents and support our children in developing theirs. Our family loves to feed the missionaries and we have them in our home at least twice a month. As we strive, to live the gospel to the best of our abilities we receive countless blessings and witness miracles.
