Hi I'm Alyssa!

Teacher, mother, believer.

About Me

I recently graduated from college with a degree in Elementary Education. I did this while pregnant, with two small children and a husband to take care of and I am proud of this accomplishment. But, I have chosen to not be a school teacher. I believe that the Lord's directive to Adam and Eve to "multiply and replenish the Earth" is still in force today and that the best thing I can do at this time in my life is to raise a righteous family. Even though I have chosen to be a stay-at-home mom I know that my education will benefit me and my family in the future. I love being a mom. It is the greatest accommplishment of my life. I love waking up to their bright, smiling faces, and seeing the joy that I can bring to their lives. I know that raising good, honest children is the best way that I can influence the world for good. This is why I have chosen to dedicate my life to their upbringing. My whole life now revolves around being the best wife and mother I can possibly be, and the Lord has blessed me for doing so.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormom becuase of the hope our church gives to it's members. Our church teaches that there is life after this life. We are spiritual beings having a mortal experience. We lived before we were born on Earth and we will live again after death. Our time here on Earth is merely a trial peroid, a time to prove that we will live righteous lives dispite the temptations that abound around us. I am a Mormon because I know that the Lord has restored his church to the Earth and this is it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the words of the prophets, past and present, and trying to do as they teach. I try to be humble, patient, and have good will toward all men. I am not perfect, but I try. I also teach my sons what it is to be a Christian and a Mormon.
