Hi I'm Dallin

I love playing sports and the exploring outdoors. I love playing guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Vancouver, Washington. I currently live in Provo, Utah. I am attending school at Brigham Young University. I am the second oldest in a family of five children. One older brother, one younger. Two younger sisters. Some of my hobbies are Football, Basketball, Soccer, Track, and Guitar. I love hiking and being active. I served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cuiabá Brazil. I have been back in the states for almost a year now and am planning on studying accounting at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found out for myself that Christ's church is on the earth again restored through Joseph Smith. I have come to know this by making an effort to learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ and following his teachings. By making this effort I have felt the Holy Spirit of God witness to me its truthfulness. I have peace, joy, and happiness in my life when i follow Christ and because of the knowledge I have gained of our Heavenly Fathers plan for us. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and he has provided a way for us to be happy. That way is shown to us by the example and atonement of Jesus Christ. By following Christ, it can bring happiness into anyones life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others around me. I have always stood up for what is right in everything I do. Whether it be on one of my sports teams, with a group of friends, or by myself, I always try my best to keep the commandments and to be a true follower of Christ. I try my best to see the good in others and understand their situations. I am not afraid to stand up for what i believe in. I will always defend the truth.

What do Mormons believe happens after we die?

After we die we go to a place called the Spirit World which is a place our spirits go when our body dies. We wait there until Christ comes again and our spirits are reunited with our bodies, also known as the resurrection. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Think of all those that have ever lived on the earth. The majority of these people have not had the opportunity to hear about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do baptisms for the dead to give them the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ and follow him. Show more Show less

Why did your church previously practice plural marriage (polygamy)?

Just as in Bible times, a prophet received revelation for the people. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do. This means that we try our best to follow Christ in all that we do. No one is perfect and we know that no unclean thing can enter into the presence of God. We try our best to follow Him and we still make mistakes. This is the reason for Christ's atonement. We can be made clean only through Him. There is no other way to return and live in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Missionaries proselyte because they want to invite others to follow christ and be baptized into his church. They want to share the happiness and joy that they feel by being a member of his church. They want everyone to hear the glad message of the restored gospel. They want people to know that there is a modern day prophet who guides His church and receives revelation for the world.
