Hi I'm Yely

I'm from Panama. I worked as a Special Educator Teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Panama and i'm working as a teacher. I'm married to a wonderful man without children (work in progress) but students teach me new things every day. They make every day an interesting and challenging one but they are so much fun. I like to listen to music, dancing, watching movies, tv series, indexing in familysearch.com, working on my family genealogy, scrapbooking, reading/listening the scriptures and reading manga or watching anime. I'm a convert. I wasn't born being a member of the Church.

Why I am a Mormon

I have visited many churches and had many questions that none the churches nor wise people nor science were able to answer. After i received the visit from the missionaries, finally my questions were answered. It was not an easy decision to join the church. Since none of my friends during that time or relatives are members of the church. And i didn't want to commit myself to do something that i would not carry on till the end. But then i thought, the lord had to endure all manners of sufferings to redeem us of our sins. His love for us is such that he died in the cross for us. That was all i needed to make my decision of joining his true church. And all i can say is that has been the greatest blessing in my life. It has brought so much happiness that there's not enough words to express my gratitude and excitement.

How I live my faith

i tried to go to church every Sunday to learn more about our Redeemer. I read the scriptures every morning. I enjoy spending time with my brothers and sisters that attend to church with me. We organize all kind of indoor or outdoor activities that keep us busy almost every week. And i love to sing with the church choir. There's so many young people that you can feel identify with and that will welcome you with their open arms and a big smile.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Yely
Jesus Chist and Our Heavenly Father knew that it will be almost impossible for us to return to Them without committing any sins. So a plan of salvation was created at the beginning. This plan required our First Brother to willingly die for our sins so we were able to repent from our sins and be forgiven and when the judgement day comes we can return to our Heavenly Brother (Jesus Christ) and Father.
