Hi I'm Dave

I am a native Arizonan, a husband, a dad, a veteran, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona but have lived in California, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Texas, Alabama and Germany. I have been married to my Laura for more than 33 years. She is the most important person in the world to me and we have 5 children who are more precious to us than our lives. I love to come home after work and be with my wife. I am grateful for my life. It is a good life. I am surrounded with good people good friends. I am blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised by parents who were Mormons, I knew I needed to find out for myself if it was true. I wasn't going to do it unless it was true. I best know the truth when I read the Book of Mormon. It is not a flashy, thunder and lightening thing. I read and ponder and I realize it is true. God lives, Jesus is the Christ and the Savior of the world. He died for us and he was resurrected. I read, ponder and pray. The Spirit of the Lord touches my soul and I just realize and understand. The Church of Jesus Christ is here on the earth and I need to be a part of it. Being a Mormon is not easy but it is simple. I don't claim to be the best man in the world. I have plenty of faults and weaknesses. Just like anyone and maybe more. I am grateful for a Saviors atonment that allows me to repent and do better.

How I live my faith

I love my family. My family and my religion are the same thing. My Heavenly Father, my Savior, Jesus Christ and the goal of beign part of their eternal family with my wife and my family is paramount in my life. I am priviliged and grateful to associate with such wonderful people as found in Buckeye and the surrounding area. There are no better people in the world than those in Buckeye. There are some as good but none better. Before leaving each day for work I kneel with my sweet wife at our bedside and we pray for each other, our family, friends, our country. We pray for those we know who struggle with illness and sorrow. We pray over our work and challenges. We pray for strength to be good people. It is a wonderful thing to hear my wife ask Heavenly Father to bless and protect me that day. I know it is good for her to hear me pray for her. It is a sweet thing to have members of the church love, support and encourage you. Being in the church refreshes you, recharges you, tests you and grows you . As many a wise person knows, when you serve others you find happiness. I am priviliged to be able to work with and for others. The gosple of Jesus Christ is a true blessing in my life.
