Hi I'm Julie

I am a wife and soon-to-be mother, I live in Washington, I am a limbo queen, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 23 year old wife and soon-to-be mother. I have been a nanny for the past three-plus years and have enjoyed caring for children of all ages. My husband and I are ecstatic for our little girl to be a part of our lives. I enjoy outdoorsy activities such as hiking and camping, especially in the company of my husband, friends and other family members. I am one of 12 children, and I have 18 nieces and nephews. I enjoy playing soccer, ping pong ;) and other various sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, and I believe in His gospel. I have prayed to know if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, and I have received a resounding answer; yes! I try to imagine my life without the gospel, and it scares me. It scares me to think of who I would be if I didn't have the knowledge of Christ's love for me, If I didn't know that there is life after death, If I didn't know that families can be together forever. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, much like the Bible is. The teachings therein are wonderful and can lead your life in a good and righteous way if we follow its teachings. The standards that we have as Mormons make our lives happier if we follow them. We don't smoke or drink, we don't participate in immoral activity; some people may find this as something that holds you back, but in reality it sets us free. I am grateful for the standards of the church and I strive everyday to follow them. I know that Jesus Christ is my elder brother and I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and hears our prayers. These things are what make the gospel of Jesus Christ so beautiful, and this is why I believe, this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the commandments and being true to myself and to Heavenly Father. I am not perfect, but I try to lead a righteous life. I implement love and kindness to those around me. I know that I am a child of God and I want others to know that for themselves as well. Since I am a nanny, I have a big influence on the children that I care for. I know that they watch me and want to be like me, so I am conscious of every action and word that I make. I know that I need to be a good and righteous example to them, especially since they are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I ask Heavenly Father for help to live my faith better each day. I need Him to guide and direct my life, and I am grateful for my relationship with Him.
