Hi I'm Joann

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 6. I am helping to raise two great great nephews, which is a challenge but to watch them grow and mature is a joy. I love family and enjoy having lots of it around me. I love to do family history research and work on projects to help others find their family history also. I love to read to escape my ordinary life but I like to read things that promote christian ideas.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I have learned more about them and grown closer to them in this Church over any other I have ever attended. The Scriptures guide me to know them better every time I open them. The belief that Families are Forever has always inspired me. I am inspired to be a better person through the Lords teachings, the Church Leaders and those that attend with me. Their examples of good and endurance through the good, bad and ugly keep me going too. I love the fact that I can go anywhere in the United States and find a church group of my same beliefs and standards, even studying the same thing I am studying right at home. With a Prophet on the earth today we can still know the Lords mind for this day and time and how to handle today's problems. There is more to know than what can be learned just from the Bible, things that will help you to grow to know the Savior and his Father better.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday of my life, starting with getting up in the morning. Prayer and trying to treat others right are parts of that. I may fail, but the answer is to pray for forgiveness and ask those you may have hurt for forgiveness as well, and start over again, however many times a day that takes. I won't say I am perfect at that either. Avoid those things that you know will tempt you to make bad choices. Listen to uplifting music and avoid those things that are negative. Family Time will bring you closer to one another and can open communication between you. Just going through each day being aware of the Saviors love for you will help you live your faith!
